Spring Swing -- Line Dancing With Joel Hoffman

Up next in our series, we have Joel Hoffman teaching you how to line dance y’all! He began line dancing as a way to spend fun, quality time with his three daughters back in 1996 at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace. He got hooked on instructing when he was asked to fill in for the instructor at Crystal Palace and hasn’t stopped for the 23 years since. Joel has taught line dancing in Taft at the Westside Recreation and Parks District and The Bank Sports Bar. In Bakersfield, Joel has taught at The Iron Horse Saloon, Trout’s, and various private dances at local schools, private homes, and corporate events. He now has taught for 2-1/2 years at Temblor Brewing Company in Bakersfield where his classes average over 40 dancers each, 8 classes per month! He also teaches an Advanced Line Dancing class on Wednesdays at Bakersfield Racquet Club. His Facebook page, Bakersfield Line Dancing, has over 1,800 followers!

Chris Pedersen grew up on the Central Coast of California. Exploring his beautiful surroundings he discovered a love for drawing and painting. His appreciation for the ocean and surfing continues to inspire his youthful approach to creating these unreal surf inspired realms. ” Every time you go surfing it’s a new experience.” He compares this to his artwork, “When you sit down to draw or create something, you never know what’s going to happen.” Come enjoy our line of lovely varietals and fall into the dreamy lost coast of Chris Pedersen’s imagination.

We are sad to see this series end, however we had a great response and are looking forward to the next year! This is our last class and we are ending with a bang and bringing you Swing with Tom and Christina Troxel. Check out their bio below. Tom and Christina Troxel are Ballroom Dance instructors located in Atascadero who have taught both group and private dance lessons from beginning to advanced. They have participated for many years in the Atascadero Library’s annual fundraising show “Dancing With Our Stars” as choreographers and performers. They are devotees of Argentine Tango as well as Swing Dance. When not dancing, he is a globetrotting mechanical engineer consultant and she is an oil painter, specializing in portraiture.

We couldn’t be more excited to get these two love birds to the Castle. We have a husband and wife duo, y’all! Seth is an American Rock and Pop singer/songwriter from Asheville, NC. He has been performing original songs that are heartfelt and inspiring at many establishments throughout the country as well as several radio shows. His wife, Sara, has been there through it all and is at his side playing the Cajon at every show. Seth and Sara had their first full time tour in October of 2018 and since, have had the opportunity to tour throughout the southwest, midwest and eastern states.
