Grey Wolf Cellars and Barton Family Wines is a family owned and operated boutique winery located in Paso Robles, CA established in 1994. The owners have turned a new page in the chapter of this family-owned winery. Barton and his wife Jenny have modernized the Paso Robles brand. A new updated label design and recent remodel of the tasting room, begins the legacy of the next generation. The only site in Paso Robles that offers Wine, Food and Spirits at one location.

Joe and Shirlene Barton started the winery in 1994 and purchased the property in 1996. They followed their dream of owning a winery and building a family business for future generations. Joe Jr. carries their legacy and dream forward and crafts wines from selected vineyards in west Paso Robles. Working with a selection of wine varieties including the heritage varietal Zinfandel, the classic Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, both Rhone red and whites as well as some Spanish varieties. Barton is creating a distinct style sourcing from dry-farmed vineyards in the Paso Robles Willow Creek, Templeton Gap and Adelaida District AVAs.

Barton handcrafts distinct Zinfandels — Jackal, a blend of three vineyards — unique Rhone white blends like the Sentinelle and classic crowd-pleasing Cabernet Sauvignons that you’ll find in the Alpha. Barton finds each vineyard offering a distinct character to the wine which complement each variety. His humble beginnings and hard work have brought Barton exactly what he wants — to make wines that represent Paso Robles. He’s received critical acclaim and commercial success and after twenty years of winemaking, he’s still captivated by tractors, bud break and turning fruit into wine.

It’s not all about wine at the Barton House. Barton teamed up with Stephen Kroener to create KROBAR Craft Distillery. Taste and purchase rye whiskey, gin and brandy making your wine, food and craft spirits experience complete.
